The island of Ischia is reached from mainland Italy by means of
hydrofoils (sailing from the Molo Beverello jetty
or Mergellina), handy for tourists travelling without
cars, or by means of ferryboats (sailing from the Molo
Beverello jetty or Pozzuoli) for those
travelling with or without motor vehicles. Visitors travelling
by train or plane, who would then have to proceed by taxi or bus
(there are special busses serving as shuttles between the
Capodichino airport and the Molo Beverello jetty
) can choose to be ferried leaving from the Molo
Beverello jetty or Mergellina port by making
use of Caremar or the Lauro Lines or
Snav. |
